The beauty of jewelry making is that there are so many techniques that can be used to get to a finished product. For this one of a kind ring, the design was hand-carved out of wax and cast in bronze using the lost-wax method. This technique uses a mold made from the wax model, which is then filled with molten metal, leaving a seamless finished design.
This particular ring is all about imperfection… on the top, wearing this ring is like putting on a fabulous crown. On the bottom, there’s a gap- a place where the metal doesn’t meet. Yet, there is beauty in this gap, it highlights the strength and beauty of the rest of the piece. With textures and shapes covering the exterior and filled with a dark patina, your eye never gets bored. The inside has been finished to a smooth polish, the interior edges rounded for comfort.
Bronze ring width ranges from 5mm to 7.5mm, hand carved and cast, size 7.25
