Etched Ring

Description

Electroetching is a metal etching process that involves the use of a solution and an electric current. Some kind of resist is put on the metal, and over time, the process removes all of the metal around that resist. In this case, I drew directly on sterling silver, creating a beautiful uneven dotted texture. The smooth surfaces inside and out have been finished to a high polish in contrast to those patinated etched marks. Enjoy the visual and tactile contrasts in this simple, one of a kind band.
