Description
The beauty of jewelry making is that there are so many techniques that can be used to get to a finished product. For this one of a kind ring, the design was hand-carved out of wax and cast in sterling silver using the lost-wax method. This technique uses a mold made from the wax model, which is then filled with molten metal, leaving a seamless finished design.
This is a ring of contrasts… one side polished, one side textured with deep grooves highlighted by a dark patina. The bottom of the ring is a dainty 1mm thick which then expands up to 4.5mm thick at the top. Angular lines are softened by smoothed corners… Own and express the contrasting parts of you- polished and dainty, rough and strong.
Sterling silver 1.1″ x .8″ ring, hand carved and cast, size 7.5.
